Overview
‘Diversity & Inclusion’ was an internal campaign developed for Summerset Retirement Villages, designed to support and communicate the organisation’s commitment to inclusiveness and diversity across its workforce.
Context
Working within the established Summerset brand, the project required the development of a distinct internal identity that could sit alongside existing communications while remaining recognisable and cohesive. The challenge was to create something visually engaging and flexible enough to be applied across a wide range of internal materials.
Approach
The identity was built using the existing brand colour palette, reinterpreted through bold colour pairings and a simplified graphic language. A system of icons was introduced to represent different aspects of diversity and inclusion, creating a visual shorthand that could be easily understood across the organisation.
The initial rollout included a logo and a publication, establishing the foundation of the visual system. The design approach prioritised clarity, accessibility, and adaptability, allowing the identity to extend across future applications such as posters, internal collateral, and workplace communications.
Outcome
The resulting identity provides a clear and cohesive framework for internal communication, supporting ongoing conversations around diversity and inclusion within the organisation. The system is designed to scale, enabling consistent and recognisable messaging as the campaign continues to develop across the business.
